The Kentucky Innocence Project is a unit of the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy. All services are provided pro bono. In addition to individual gifts, we are supported by a grant from the Kentucky Bar Association IOLTA Foundation.

Individual gifts will help:

• Pay for expert consultation and testing, including DNA for indigent clients.
• Support our reform initiatives to address the causes of wrongful conviction in Kentucky.
• Assist in developing an aftercare program to assist exonerates with re-establishing their life on the outside.
• Support educational opportunities for KIP staff, students, and exonerates through trainings, conferences, and colloquiums.
• Support and extend fundraising efforts related to public awareness and outreach of our work.
